My journey with The IRONMAN Group has been transformative, impacting both my physical and mental well-being. What once seemed like an unattainable "idea" in 2018 has become a reality became a reality as I completed the second triathlon of my life, a 140.6-mile race consisting of a 2.4-mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run in 13h56m.
Also, I Qualified and was accepted into the 2024 Boston Athletic Association Boston Marathon... did I mention I am in my 40s? I have had a double mastectomy with reconstruction and been hit by a car, which left me with a broken elbow. The journey hasn't been easy, but worth it.
Through unwavering dedication, discipline, and consistency, I've demonstrated that #anythingispossible as I get ready to run the 2024 Boston Marathon and return to IRONMAN, Florida, with a renewed determination to #raceformore.
With the valuable experience gained from completing IRONMAN Florida at 13:56, I am committed to pushing my limits and achieving a sub-12-hour finish time to secure a spot at the prestigious Kona World Championships in 2025.
